Through the use of water fed poles, which are long, sometimes lightweight telescoping poles made of fiberglass or even lighter carbon fiber material are used to gently scrub the glass. After the glass has been scrubbed it is left to dry naturally and will not spot. Using this method of window washing, Portland Window Cleaning is able to reach higher while safely staying on the ground. While water fed poles are making the industry safer it does have limitations. If the home is older with worn painted frames this may cause problems for the water fed pole. Water can seep into the exposed wood causing the water to pull dirty water from above and spot the glass. Because of this limitation, we still use the traditional method on some homes. Our water fed pole window cleaning service cannot remove paint or pitch. Removal of such debris should be carefully considered if the company plans on using a razor to clean the glass.
